Final Project Storyboards

Final Project Plan

For my final one minute animation, I plan on doing a short narrative. The animation style I plan on doing is animated cut-outs with moving mouths. My story is a ridiculous one, that starts out with a boy in his room, suddenly Mickey Mouse walks in and starts to talking to the kid about how he wants to take him to Disney land and other things. Then out of no where, a man in a suit comes in and says “What are you doing here? Mickey tries to leave but, is stopped. The animation ends with Mickey saying, Oh, Shit. So basically my concept is “To Catch a Predator, if the predator was Mickey Mouse. I’d like that to be the punch line and not reveal to the audience till the end. The rest of what Mickey says is going to be very suggestive if put in the right context, but otherwise its just very happy dialogue. In order to do this I was going to create the three characters in Photoshop and use After Effects to make them move. I’m going to get me and my friends to record the dialog which I can edit to the mouths and attach as separate objects in After Effects, I think. After it is all done I can throw it into final cut, to add titles, music, and ambiance.

Pixilation Blog

For my pixilation project, I decided to do parenting. I am going to take a picture of myself in a fighting pose facing towards the camera. My legs will be slightly spread and my arms well be in fists as if I am about to punch something. What I want to do is disconnect my arms and my legs in Photoshop to create 5 separate pictures. The background is going to be plain black or maybe just a brick wall. For 3a I will have legs moving me left and right while having my arms appear to come forward towards the screen as if they are punching the camera. For 3b I will need to take another picture of hand except from the point of view of the camera. After cutting that out I’ll show my self in the fighting pose again except this time a hand comes from the camera and punches me as I get knocked out. The background will be the same as the first shot. I’m assuming in After Effects you can zoom objects as part of the motion to make them look like they are coming at the screen. If this idea seems to be too complex let me know because I’m still new at a lot of this stuff.
